We are looking for someone to work as a personal assistant for our client living in Värsås outside Mariestad. Our client is a 24-year-old girl and we are looking for someone who can step in extra hours as needed to support her in her daily life.

The client's disabilities include CP, epilepsy, and developmental disabilities, and she has a significant need for care. Her vision and hearing are impaired, but communication is done through body language, eye contact, and tactile signs. Assistance is provided in the parental home, and there are many aids available both indoors and outdoors. She uses a wheelchair and enjoys going for walks, watching movies, and doing crafts. Riding her specially adapted bike is also an interest, as well as cuddling with her little sister.

The role and experience of the assistant
For this position, we are looking for someone who is positive, empathetic, and attentive. It is important that you are self-assured, but the most important thing is that the chemistry between you and the family is right. We are looking for someone with a B driver's license, as travel by car is part of the job. The client has many medications and machines to help her daily life, such as oxygen, a cough machine, and a lift. She has wonderful, caring, and accommodating assistants who always focus on the client. We are looking for someone who wants to work as an assistant to our client and develop a good relationship. You will receive individualized introduction/training in all aspects of the client's care needs and routines – it is important that both you as an assistant and our client feel secure.

Desirable experiences
• Previous experience as an assistant.
• Experience with tactile signs and sign language support.
• B driver's license
• Swedish spoken and written.
• Experience with delegation.
• Not allergic to pets. Dogs are present in the home.

Working hours/employment rate
• Extra as needed, available all hours of the day.
• Day, evening, and night shifts.
• Summer substitute.
