JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you ready for change? We are looking for you who are a support assistant and want to work with individuals living in housing with special services.

As our operations are changing, we are looking for you who are a support assistant and want to be part of building our operations, where new structures, action plans, and community are in focus. Together with your colleagues, you will have the opportunity to be part of the change work and leave your mark in the context.

At Bottnevägen group home, there are six tenants within the autism spectrum. As a support assistant, it is your role to support the tenants in participation and create opportunities to influence decisions and interventions. You provide support in everyday life with everything from communication, stimulation of leisure activities to household chores. You collaborate with other individuals around the tenant. The work includes social documentation and medication management according to delegation.

Housing with special services offers support around the clock. We base our work on the tenants' needs and adjust working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evening, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination in between that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies.

We assume that you have experience working with the target group as the work requires it.

Communication is an important part of the job, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in care and support.

It is desirable if you have experience working with the target group and if you have knowledge and experience of the following methods: LAB (Low Arousal Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), Clear Pedagogy, Signs as Support, ESL (An Independent Life), IBIC (Individual Needs in Center), and MI (Motivational Interviewing).

A valid driver's license and driving experience are also seen as advantageous.

You are friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.
