The assistance unit consists of 26 caseworkers, one housing adaptation caseworker, three senior caseworkers, one unit manager, and two administrators who assist with administrative tasks. We work with children and adults with physical, intellectual, or mental disabilities who need support according to LSS and SoL, as well as with the elderly who require assistance according to SoL. The unit is divided into teams based on operational area: social psychiatry, LSS, and elderly care.

We are now looking for you who want to contribute to our important mission as a caseworker with a focus on social psychiatry, where the users belong to the target group of the psychiatric reform. For individuals with mental disabilities in Partille municipality, there are well-developed methods for collaboration and change work with the individual through Care and Support Coordination, VSS, in which the caseworkers participate based on investigation and follow-up.

We focus on the user and believe that a good approach is the key to success, along with a large portion of competence. Together, we actively work on development and quality work.

As a caseworker, your task is to investigate, make decisions, and follow up on interventions according to SoL/LSS and be responsible for information during the ongoing investigation. You meet many people, learn about their life stories, and contribute to making a difference in their lives when they receive support for a functioning everyday life. The work is based on a holistic perspective around the individual and their needs at the center, which often occurs in collaboration with relatives, other caregivers, and authorities. It is important for us to collaborate based on our different roles and competencies. Legal security and strengthening the individual's opportunities to live an independent life are important parts of your work with authority exercise.

The caseworkers focusing on social psychiatry currently work in pairs, jointly responsible for their cases. The group has team meetings every week for joint method meetings/support where they benefit from each other's experience and competence to move forward in case matters. They help each other during vacations and other absences.

To facilitate the balance between work and leisure, we offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work partially remotely.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the social work program, social care program, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have good knowledge of current legislation and case law in the area. You have experience in authority exercise within SoL/LSS and preferably from discharge planning from hospitals. Experience in the area of mental disabilities is an advantage. A driver's license with driving experience is a requirement.

As a person, you are positive, engaged, and enjoy being involved and influencing. You have experience and interest in meeting people from a professional perspective. You are comfortable in the authority role and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. The role requires you to work independently with the ability to plan, structure, and prioritize tasks. Furthermore, you are good at collaborating and maintaining good contacts with users, colleagues, and other partners in daily work. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

Upon offer of employment, an ID check will be conducted, and an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.

For work within the care and social services department in Partille municipality, you need to have a passing grade in Swedish from elementary school, or alternatively SFI-D, to handle documentation.
