We are looking for an independent girl to assist a cheerful and active girl living with her family in Uddevalla. You should be a calm person who radiates security, is attentive to your client, and has a good sense of humor. Ideally, you should be between 20 and 60 years old and share the client’s interest in horseback riding.

As an assistant, you will work closely and collaboratively with the client during her waking hours, motivating and supporting her towards independence. There is a neurological diagnosis which means that the client primarily uses a wheelchair, but daily structured training for the whole body will take place with the help of aids and your support.

Assistance is needed during all waking hours, such as during meals, hygiene, communication, and social interactions with others, as well as all transfers. Aids are available, but you should have good mobility.

The client’s interests include horseback riding, sailing, bowling, music, and singing. Several activities occur weekly. The client is energetic, and every day includes motor training mixed with fun and play. The workplace is based at home but also includes wherever the client is, such as at the stable, swimming pool, or on the sailboat, among others.  

Communication is done through clear spoken language, supplemented with signs and pictures. The client uses sounds and body language, so you need to be attentive and receptive to her way of communicating to become a team.  

If you have experience with low arousal approach methods, caregiving, or similar work, it is a merit.

Requirements;

• Resident in Uddevalla or nearby

• Good physical condition

• Driver's license

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the job.

Collective agreement with Kommunal-KFO. Salary according to agreement based on your education and experience level.

Please note that you must have an extract from the police criminal record for work within LSS.

Working hours: Day, evening, weekend

Employment conditions: SLUV at 80%
