Residential Support Workers Needed at Ekbackens Residence in Mariestad

Ekbackens Residence with special services in Mariestad is one of several operations within social psychiatry. Here, we work with individuals aged 45-65 who suffer from mental health issues, and the workplace is located on the third floor of Mariestad Hospital.

We are now looking to recruit four residential support workers for part-time temporary positions. The roles are 85-87% and have a duration of at least six months.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities include working in an investigative, supportive, and motivating manner to strengthen the individual's own resources for an independent life and active participation in society.

You should be able to meet individuals where they are and understand the difficulties they may face. You should be able to make independent decisions and solve various situations based on each individual's conditions and needs.

As a residential support worker, you will work according to individual plans focused on recovery, social training, and ADL training (Activities of Daily Living). The work also includes caring tasks such as personal hygiene. You will also have significant contact with other important community actors such as healthcare and labor market partners.

The positions cover 85-87% for at least six months. We work both during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends. Therefore, you must be able to work irregular hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is trained in care with a psychiatric focus or has another equivalent education.

If you have experience working with individuals with mental health issues in collaboration with external community functions, that is a significant advantage, as is experience and knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

As a person, it is important that you are attentive, positive, and confident in individual meetings with clients and have a good ability to work independently and build trust. You should be good at finding solutions and flexible in your working methods both with individuals and workplaces. Since the work can sometimes be stressful, you should have a good amount of patience and high stress tolerance.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. This is because many of your tasks involve receiving instructions and conveying information correctly and clearly. We expect you to have digital maturity as it is a natural part of the job.

A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
