Who am I?

My name is Gabriel and I am a 13-year-old boy living in Kungälv who loves life. I am almost always happy and easily laugh when something funny happens. I understand much of what is happening and being said, but I cannot express myself with words. Since I am blind and have extensive CP damage, I need help with most things. So you as an assistant need to be able to read me and interpret the surroundings, that you simply are my voice and sight. You will also help me with other basic things such as transfers, personal hygiene, and meals, but also in connection with all the different activities I do. I dance, ride, swim (every week), and ski (in winter). Additionally, I also enjoy spending time with my best friend and last but not least, traveling.

Who are you?

You who are applying should be empathetic, have a pedagogical approach, and be interested in alternative communication. Since my family lives an active life, it is good if you as a person are open to different activities and work environments. Since the job involves assistance with transfers, it is an advantage if you have good physical fitness. It is a requirement that you are smoke-free.

About the position:

Work approximately 2-3 weekday afternoons per week. There are good opportunities for more work during holidays and breaks.
