Who am I?

I am a 42-year-old man who, due to autism, has a great need for clarity and structure in my life. If there are too many stimuli or if I have difficulty making myself understood, I may become outwardly aggressive towards myself and my surroundings. Your task is to divert and prevent me from ending up in unsafe situations, which you do with the help of low-arousal responses and clear pedagogical methods. This way, you give me the best possible conditions for a good life!

A day with me might look like this:

I enjoy cooking, baking, and music, and this is something you can help me further develop! I can do a lot by myself, but I need you to motivate me and plan my activities. Your most important support for me is to structure and prepare me for all everyday moments. I am at a day center part-time, and on the remaining days, we work together to find meaningful activities. There are always 2 staff members with me, meaning double assistance at all hours of the day.

Who are you?

For this position, you need to be driven, engaged, and secure in yourself. Previous experience with individuals with autism and challenging behavior is a prerequisite. You should also have relatively good physical fitness to keep up with the pace. If you have experience and/or knowledge of low-arousal responses and clear pedagogical methods, that is also a plus. Since we actively work with quality assurance, you will participate in method guidance/staff meetings every other week with the team you will be part of.

About the position:

The position is 80-100%. The shifts for the position are daytime and nighttime, every other week. During the day, you work from 08:00 to 20:00 and at night from 20:00 to 08:00. Awake working hours throughout the day. The position is available immediately.
