JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for hourly and summer substitutes for our children's and short-term residences within the disability support administration!

In our children's and short-term residences, children and young people with various types of disabilities live. We have certain operations aimed at children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities and challenging behaviors. In these operations, self-harming behaviors may also occur.

We also have certain operations aimed at children with multiple disabilities in need of extensive care and medical interventions. Tube feeding and respiratory assistance occur with some of our users.

Your main tasks are to provide individually tailored support and assistance to the users. Tasks include personal hygiene as well as support in everyday life such as cooking, cleaning, and carrying out activities. In all operations, pedagogical support and documentation of the individual's development are included. We work with various methods in our operations such as low-arousal responses (LAB) and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

We are looking for summer substitutes who can work on a schedule during the holiday period from June to August. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays, weekends, and possibly also sleeping on call according to the schedule. There are also summer vacancies with working hours entirely scheduled for awake nights. We will prioritize candidates who can work the entire part of the holiday period.

We are also looking for those who only want to work as hourly substitutes, covering for short-term absences in the operations during the spring and summer. As an hourly substitute, you will be offered flexible working hours scheduled during the day, evening, or night on weekdays and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work as a substitute within disability support, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations on minors' working environment (AFS 2012:3). It is a requirement that you have previous experience of working within the disability support area or within care and nursing. If you do not meet the passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt.

We consider it an advantage if you have completed or ongoing education in the field, for example as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or a completed or ongoing academic education in health and medical care, behavioral science, or educational training.

In addition, we would like you to have experience/knowledge of low-arousal responses (LAB), alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), challenging behaviors, and self-harming behaviors. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with medical technical aids such as trach, tube feeding, PEG, or respiratory machines and have experience with extensive care.

As a substitute within disability support, you focus on the individual, have a pedagogical approach, and a genuine interest in people with various types of disabilities. It is important that you are responsive to the individual's needs to adapt your response in different situations. For us, it is desirable that you are responsible and have a flexible approach. It is also very important that you are stable and secure as a person, have good collaborative skills, and can set boundaries when needed.

To communicate with users, colleagues, and document, you need to master the Swedish language, which means passing grades in Swedish A, SAS Basic, or equivalent.
