GIL has been coordinating personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Typically, the person entitled to assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with in-depth knowledge of the individual is appointed.

As a personal assistant, you support a person with a disability to live the life they choose. To recruit and retain competent and satisfied assistants, we invest in training and events. A 19-year-old boy is looking for personal assistants; he is completely dependent on his aids in his daily life and has a great need for help with all transfers and ADL (activities of daily living).

You should have good physical fitness as there are some transfers involved, as well as good teamwork skills since it is double assistance. Our requirement is that you do not smoke in the workplace. The position is approximately 75-100% spread over days and evenings. A 19-year-old boy is looking for a male personal assistant. The boy is completely dependent on his aids in his daily life and has a great need for help with all transfers and ADL (activities of daily living).

Since you, as an assistant, will interpret the boy for his surroundings, it is important that you are good at both speaking and understanding Swedish.

The position starts as a temporary employment, but if we enjoy working together, it may transition to a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment lasts, with a working percentage of 75-100%.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
