Residential Support Worker for Awake Night Shift

Ekbackens residence with special services in Mariestad is one of several operations within social psychiatry. Here, we work with individuals aged 45-65 who suffer from mental health issues, and the workplace is located on the third floor of Mariestad Hospital.

We are now looking to recruit a residential support worker for awake night shifts on a part-time basis of approximately 70%.

Are you trained in care with a psychiatric focus? Do you enjoy working in a team? Do you have knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses?

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities include working in a investigative, supportive, and motivational manner to strengthen the individual's own resources for an independent life and active participation in society.

You should be able to meet the individual where they are and understand the difficulties they may face. You should be able to make independent decisions and solve various situations based on each individual's circumstances and needs.

As a residential support worker, you will work according to individual plans focused on recovery, social training, and ADL training (Activities of Daily Living). The work also includes caregiving tasks such as personal hygiene.

During the night, you will handle some documentation tasks and be ready if any resident needs to talk or requires care or other support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with a care education with a psychiatric focus or equivalent education.

You should have knowledge of various psychiatric diagnoses and preferably experience working with individuals suffering from mental health issues, as well as experience and knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

As a person, it is important that you are attentive, positive, and confident in individual meetings with residents. Since the work can sometimes be stressful, you should have a good amount of patience and high stress tolerance.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as digital maturity. This is because many of your tasks involve receiving instructions and conveying information accurately and clearly.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for the position.
