We are now looking for temporary housing support workers to join our team at Åby 1 in Västerhaninge. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! About Åby The LSS group home Åby 1 is aimed at individuals with diagnoses within the autism spectrum or intellectual disabilities. Staff work around the clock, all year round.
The group home Åby 1 is located in a single-story villa. Those who live with us have their own apartment with a living room and kitchen in an open floor plan, bedroom, large bathroom, and private patio. Suitable alarms are installed as needed. The group home has shared spaces for cooking and socializing. The villa is situated on a nature plot and is surrounded by a garden with grassy areas, which also includes a shared outdoor space.
The nearest bus stop is 100 meters from the residence and takes you quickly and smoothly to Västerhaninge center and the commuter station. It is just over 1.5 kilometers away, where there is a wide range of shops and services. Nature is even closer - we have forests and meadows right around the corner. About the role In the role of housing support worker, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff, you will work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.
You will have a group manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in care and nursing or other equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.
You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our users' best interests at the forefront of everything you do.
At Nytida, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is permeated by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
This is what you get with us:
- Basic training and skills development through our own educational organization Lära
- Benefits portal with discounts and offers
- Leadership-trained managers close to you
- A shared pedagogy to provide the best care and support to our care recipients
- Career and development opportunities
- Wellness grants and shoe grants
- Collective agreements
