The Social Administration is responsible for authority exercise, ordering services, and self-management within the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. Your tasks

As a support assistant at Aspnäsvägen 120, you will work with individuals with various types of disabilities. This position is primarily scheduled for nights, but part of your work will also be performed in the evenings. Your job involves ensuring safety and well-being for our residents. Your tasks include care work, such as assistance during meals, medication administration, and personal hygiene. You will also be responsible for supervision and safety during the night shifts and provide support in daily life. This includes helping with cleaning, turning schedules, and preparations for the next day.

The tasks will largely focus on providing the support needed for users to feel safe and cared for.

Your workplace

The mission of the Social Administration is to support municipal residents to live independently and ensure that all residents receive the support they are entitled to, within the framework of the Social Services Act and the Act on Special Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). You will belong to the LSS department, which is responsible for ensuring that individuals with LSS decisions receive their services in self-management.

Aspnäsvägen 120 is a group home located in Ullstämma with five users. The target group is individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.

The operation is characterized by a safe and cohesive workgroup consisting of ten employees. You will primarily work independently, as you will be working nights and evenings.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with relevant education in care, for example, as a nursing assistant, support assistant, or other education that we consider equivalent. It is also an advantage if you have experience working with individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities as well as in care, support, and assistance. Experience with assistive devices and night work is also meritorious. It is a requirement to have knowledge of low-arousal approaches and it is an advantage if you also have knowledge of TSS (Signs as Support) and AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication).

You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with users, colleagues, relatives, and to document.

You are flexible and change-oriented, which means you can adapt to varying tasks and working hours. You enjoy working independently and take responsibility for your tasks, especially during evenings and nights. At the same time, you are a team player and value collaboration with colleagues to create a safe and cohesive work environment. Your empathetic ability makes it easy for you to understand and meet the needs of users, which is crucial for creating a safe and caring support in their daily lives.
