Mantorp Youth Center is one of Mjölby municipality's youth centers and is organizationally part of the Culture and Leisure Office. The activities at the youth centers are primarily conducted as open leisure activities and operate from a promoting perspective. Mantorp Youth Center is located adjacent to Vifolkaskolan in Mantorp and conducts open activities for ages 10-12, open activities for teenagers, and has an LGBTQI activity. We are a team of seven people who share responsibility for all parts of the operation and together with our visitors plan and implement our activities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a youth leader, you will develop the youth center's activities together with colleagues, the activity coordinator, and the unit manager in accordance with current assignments and governing documents. In your role, it is important to understand and take clear employee responsibility, with a holistic view of our entire operation.

In your work, you will have continuous contact with young people and various stakeholders, which practically means that you will coach and build relationships with, for example, schools, guardians, and other actors in the community. Collaboration with local schools is prioritized, and it is important that you offer our children and youth a varied, rich, developing, meaningful, and fun leisure activity. As a youth leader, you will work days, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of youth leader, you need a 2-year youth leader education or another post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent. We see it as meritorious if you have experience working with participation and democracy efforts with young people. It is also meritorious if you have experience planning, leading, and developing activities, both individually and in groups. A B driver's license is required for the position.

Furthermore, you have cultural awareness, listen in, and take your own initiatives. You are open to change and adapt to changing circumstances. You are stimulated by new challenges and find it rewarding and fun to work with children and youth at the youth center. You are service-oriented and have an easy time building good relationships.

You have the ability to work in a team and have curiosity and interest in the different people you work for and with in Mjölby municipality. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
