The area of operation (VO) intensive and postoperative care (IPV) in Lund at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) offers highly specialized anesthesia, surgical nursing, intensive care, and pre- and postoperative care. Here, patients are cared for before, during, and after surgery. We also conduct pain management activities and are responsible for Sus's sterilization technical operations in Lund.
The Intensive Care and Postoperative Department (IVA Postop) provides qualified intensive care. The department has nine intensive care beds and 19 postoperative beds. In intensive care, patients suffering from trauma, sepsis, major surgical procedures, cardiac arrest, and patients with failure or impending failure of vital functions are cared for. In Postop, we care for postoperative patients primarily from orthopedics, surgery, ear-nose-throat, and gynecology.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nursing assistant in the intensive care unit, you will perform standard tasks within intensive and postoperative care, which includes care and monitoring of critically ill patients. In the postoperative department, we care for patients after surgery and document and monitor vital parameters. The work is done in teams with a focus on person-centered care in a unit with high competence in a high-tech environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care or a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in emergency, intensive, and/or postoperative care.
You who apply have very good collaboration and communication skills and can work both independently and in close cooperation with your colleagues. Furthermore, you have a positive attitude, are attentive to others' needs, and are engaged in your work. Additionally, you find it easy to plan your work and have the ability to organize and prioritize even when the pace is high. We value joy at work and want you to thrive with us. OTHER
As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within health and social care. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
