The Adult Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic for Emotional Instability in Malmö consists of three teams that offer psychotherapy for personality disorders, self-harming behavior, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The clinic is part of a larger unit together with two other clinics that treat bipolar disorder and conduct diagnostic assessments. The unit consists of approximately 45 employees divided into six specialized teams and clinics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a licensed psychologist for a twelve-month temporary position.

The tasks involve initial assessments (according to ICD-11) and treatment of patients with personality disorders, trauma, and self-harming behavior using the methods Good Psychiatric Management (GPM), Emotion Regulation Group Therapy (ERGT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Other tasks within the unit may also arise based on the needs of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed psychologist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a psychologist in adult psychiatric outpatient care and with the methods GPM, ERGT, and/or PE.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have a strong interest in personality disorders and that you are humble and curious. As a resource with tasks in different teams, you need to be able to work independently and be both communicative and relationally capable towards colleagues and patients. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
