The pediatric medicine area (VO) has about 700 employees and is part of Skåne University Hospital (Sus). We treat children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 years with diseases in specialized areas from a holistic perspective, including medical, nursing, psychological, social, special educational, and humanitarian aspects. Our operations are conducted in both Lund and Malmö and have a close collaboration with Lund University. We work according to the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Nordic Association for the Needs of Sick Children (NOBAB) standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We welcome a consultant in pediatric medicine in Lund with a focus on pediatric nephrology!

The work is partly conducted within the framework of National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) for rare kidney diseases.
In your role, you are expected to actively act as a mentor for less experienced colleagues and in the education of students. You will have the opportunity to work in a modern work environment with a positive team spirit and good opportunities for research and development across the entire organization. The work is team-based and occurs in collaboration with many other medical specialties and healthcare professions. Within the position, there is room to conduct research where research time is funded by external grants.
QUALIFICATIONS

- completed or planned course in clinical supervision
- full-time service of at least five years (documented effective time)
- clinical skill and independence within pediatric medicine

You have previous experience working in highly specialized pediatric nephrology care, including dialysis treatment, and have experience and familiarity with pre-, peri-, and post-operative care related to kidney transplantation, including transplantation investigations. Previous research experience in pediatric nephrology is a requirement, and current research with your own research line is considered meritorious for the position. Personal suitability is an important factor, as the role requires both a professional approach to patients and a good ability to adapt to the team-based operation.
You are responsible, have an ethical approach, and an interest in development and research. Furthermore, you value and have a very good ability to work in teams with colleagues from various professional categories. In your work, you strive for an open and good working climate. For us, it is important to have a professional approach to both patients and colleagues.
At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through mentoring nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or primary supervisors of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in mentoring, and teaching at various levels.
When you submit your application, you must fill out the questionnaire, which must be completely and correctly filled out. You also need to attach your documents digitally; see under Other what documents you need to send. For us to assess your application, it must be complete.
