Our patients are mainly those with chronic kidney failure who come from home to the clinic for hemodialysis treatment two to four times a week. Some acute care occurs, and we also perform hemodialysis in the intensive care unit when needed. We also conduct assessments for transplantation. In addition, patients with advanced kidney failure come for training in self-dialysis.

The hemodialysis service operates Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 20:30, and Saturday and Sunday between 7:30 and 16:30, with weekend work occurring every third weekend.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome two new employees to our Dialysis Clinic!

Working with us means combining medical technology and nursing through hemodialysis. As a nurse with us, you will be involved in developing the service by participating in one of our improvement projects. Your responsibilities also include teaching patients and eventually mentoring new colleagues. You will also have overall nursing responsibility for some patients and the opportunity for an individual area of responsibility.

Region Skåne invests in increased professional development for nurses. For newly graduated nurses, there is a clinical foundation year that includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For nurses who want to specialize, in addition to educational benefits in prioritized areas, a number of searchable training positions are offered, where education is combined with clinical work for two years. As a new employee, you will receive thorough introduction and guidance from experienced staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale is a requirement. We would like you to have a strong interest in developing within the dialysis field.

As a person, you are engaged, driven, and positive towards improvement and development work. You are confident, stress-resistant, structured, and meticulous in your work approach, as well as having an empathetic attitude towards patients and colleagues. Additionally, we also want you to have a good ability to take responsibility and work independently when the work situation requires it. IT support is something we use as much as possible to facilitate care and free up time for personal interaction. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have experience working in various operational systems. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
