About the Workplace

At the care and social services administration, we work with people. Real people. People who, just like you, live life. We are about 4,500 employees - from nursing assistants, support assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to economists, investigators, and assistance officers who contribute in various ways to ensure that the city's elderly and people with disabilities can live a rich and independent life.

We are looking for employees for our daily operations at Husensjövägen and Blidögatan 2.

Husensjövägen is a smaller operation located in the Husensjö district. In our operation, we rarely work in larger groups but instead focus on more individually tailored activities. Our daily operations are aimed at participants who have a significant need for support in the form of clarifying pedagogy, such as TEACCH and TAKK.

Blidögatan 2 is an operation located in Rydebäck, south of Helsingborg. We are a daily operation with specialized competence aimed at those who have acquired brain injuries. Here we work partly in groups but also with individually tailored activities.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant with us, you will work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible.

Working with people with various intellectual disabilities is a broad, varied, and challenging job that places high demands on commitment, approach, collaboration, and perseverance. You will be the extended arm of our participants in everyday life, which may involve supporting them in various activities, with hygiene, assisting during meals, and ensuring that medication is taken as needed.

We work with great respect for the participant's integrity and with participation as a focus, you will tailor the support according to the participant. You will establish and follow the implementation plans for each participant to ensure they have the best possible life.

The work is planned, documented, and closely monitored, so it is important that you feel confident in documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people and meets each individual based on their needs and wishes.

High demands are placed on collaboration skills and responsibility. You need to be very empathetic and have a view of humanity characterized by a good approach and that all people want and can with the right conditions that we are obligated to create.

To proceed in the recruitment process, you need to have:

• completed the care and social services program, vocational package nursing assistant, or the child and leisure program with a specialization in the disability area or psychiatry or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• basic computer skills and documentation experience
• a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with people with acquired brain injuries. If you have experience and good knowledge of working with clarifying pedagogy and AAC, that is also an advantage.
