Höganäs Omsorg is looking for engaged and caring individuals for summer positions in elderly care. We offer you a meaningful job where you are a hero in someone else's everyday life. You will have the chance to grow as a person and develop qualities such as empathy, creativity, and courage.

Which area suits you?

• Elderly care/Special housing: In our facilities, people who need support and care live around the clock. This may involve physical disabilities due to age or illness. You will be part of a team with care assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, and you will receive tasks based on your level of competence. Our facilities are characterized by community and a daily life filled with meaningful activities, which promotes social interaction and well-being among the residents.
• Home care: You visit care recipients in their own homes, perfect for those who like to be active! This provides a varied workday in different environments. The work is more independent and requires you to take responsibility, as you often work alone with the care recipient. Your role is to support the care recipient in living as independently as possible.

If you are studying a healthcare program, a summer in elderly care is a valuable experience. You will practice communication, close care, and gain experience working with the elderly. In many areas of healthcare, the elderly will be the largest patient group in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS

We place great importance on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and a willingness and curiosity to learn more. You are secure, engaged, independent, and have good communication skills. You want to help people live their best lives.

You are welcome to have some form of education and/or experience in the profession, but it is not a requirement.

• Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old.
• For certain positions/placements, you need to have a B driver's license.
• For certain positions/placements, you need to be able to cycle.
• You must be able to complete an approved delegation test together with a nurse.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, and if you proceed in the recruitment process, you will have to take a language test.

To ensure a good summer planning, we view positively if you can work continuously for at least 6 weeks during weeks 24-35, even better if you can work the entire summer! Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks. With us, you will work varying hours such as day/evening, night, and weekends, depending on the area. The variation allows you to also enjoy the summer alongside the job.

Health benefits: We want you to feel good while working with us. Therefore, we have a well-developed health program where even you as a monthly substitute receive a health allowance.

For those of you who are nursing assistants, as of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title nursing assistant.
