Are you curious about Thoracic Surgery? We provide highly specialized care with high demands on patient safety. Together with the Neurosurgery department, we share certain facilities, including a medication room, and together with intensive and perioperative care, we aim to improve our handling of medications.

Within the thoracic care unit (VE), we perform heart, lung, and thoracic surgery on adults. We also provide nationally specialized care for heart and lung transplants as well as corrective surgery for adults with congenital heart defects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a pharmacist to our unit who wants to help develop and improve our medication routines. We offer you a varied and interesting job where you will be part of a team with a good community where we constantly learn from each other. You will have the opportunity to develop your pharmaceutical knowledge through collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

As a pharmacist with us, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing competence support to nurses and doctors.
• Developing and revising routines in accordance with standards.
• Medication training.
• Preparing specific medication doses.
• Handling narcotic medications.
• Managing and ordering supplies for the medication room.
• Close collaboration with medication-responsible nurses.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed pharmacist or licensed pharmacy technician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. The job requires that you have a pharmaceutical license and preparation competence since it will be part of the job to prepare medications. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required.
