The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school care, high school, adult education, and child and student health. About 1100 employees work here to create a safe and developing school and childcare environment.

Edvinshem School is located in the western part of Ystad and consists of two school buildings, Edvinshem and Edvinshus. At Edvinshem, students from preschool class up to grade three are housed, and at Edvinshus, which is located about a five-minute walk from Edvinshem, we welcome students from grade four to six. A total of about 320 students attend the school. At Edvinshem, students in Adapted Primary School grades 1-6 also attend.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school nurse, you will be part of both Edvinshem School and Adapted Primary School's student health team and work based on an established basic program that includes health visits, health checks, and vaccinations. You will contribute with medical and nursing competence in the overall planning of student health work and in systematic quality work. You will work closely with students, guardians, and school staff but also collaborate with external actors such as healthcare and social services. You will also have a close collaboration with school nurse colleagues, school doctors, and MLA, where you meet regularly with the goal of developing and enhancing the quality of the student health's medical interventions. You will document in the journal program Prorenata.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training in child and youth care, district nurse, or school nurse.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a school nurse and are used to working with children and youth.

You have a good ability to create relationships, you are confident in your professional role, and you carry out your work independently. Furthermore, you are meticulous and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
