Make a difference. Every day.

We welcome two new colleagues to us at the Orthopedic Surgery (OO) and you have the chance to become a part of our wonderful team!

The area of operations (VO) intensive and perioperative care (IPV) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö offers anesthetic nursing, surgical nursing, postoperative care, and intensive care. Here, patients are cared for before, during, and after their surgery.

OO is a highly specialized surgical department where operations are conducted every day of the week between 07:00 and 21:30. At OO, we perform both elective and emergency surgery. The department is divided into teams; shoulder and arm, neck/back, and lower extremities. As an employee here, you will work within all teams, but with the opportunity to focus and participate in developmental work within one team. OO has approximately 35 percent planned and 65 percent emergency operations. A variety of orthopedic procedures are performed, ranging from routine surgeries to advanced spinal and trauma surgery.

We look forward to moving to new, beautiful premises in 2025. This gives all employees at OO the opportunity to influence and develop the operations. You will come to a workplace where we have a wonderful team, a good working environment, and exciting challenges. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a broad spectrum within orthopedics, from fracture surgery to elective surgery for both children and adults. We offer exciting and developing tasks where no day is like the other.

At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model (KTM), which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our operations. We focus on continuous and lifelong learning as well as good and safe care, which is part of the work in the magnet model. Our focus is on a well-functioning patient flow with the patient's safety and security at the center.
