The Bup Lund area now welcomes a resident physician (ST-läkare) who, together with competent and dedicated colleagues, wants to make a difference for children and adolescents with mental health issues.

Psychiatric outpatient care exists in four geographical areas in Skåne, and the target group is children and adolescents with severe and moderate mental health issues. Inpatient care is located in Malmö.

The Bup Lund area has over 100 employees and we serve children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families in eight municipalities. In Eslöv, there is an outpatient clinic, and in Lund, there are two outpatient clinics, a middle-care clinic, and a clinic for the hearing impaired and deaf. Lund also hosts the research unit of the area as well as a training clinic for students.

At the clinics, assessments, investigations, and treatments of children, adolescents, and their families are carried out. There is significant collaboration with other healthcare providers and other actors such as school health services and social services. We employ various professional categories such as social workers, psychologists, medical secretaries, doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists. The clinics are characterized by a broad child and adolescent psychiatric competence with a strong focus on developmental issues and interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as close cooperation between different professional groups.

Bup in Skåne is an accredited university hospital unit, which means that we have a close collaboration with the medical faculty at Lund University regarding both research and education. The academic work permeates our operations, and we value interest and experience in research and education when filling all our positions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new resident physician for one of our outpatient clinics in Lund but are open to discussing any placement requests at the clinic in Eslöv. The clinical service and training take place within the framework of the residency program. You will be offered an experienced primary supervisor, support from the area’s study director, and guidance at your clinic from clinically skilled specialists. In addition to the given training and residency days to achieve the goal descriptions, continuous professional development is provided in line with the needs of the operations and your interests, as well as monthly regional and local physician meetings.

During your training, you will serve at various units within Bup Skåne, with side training/service in areas such as adult psychiatry, pediatrics, and addiction care. On-call service in the combined on-call line of child and adolescent psychiatry is also included.

At the clinics in Lund/Eslöv and throughout child and adolescent psychiatry in Skåne, both short- and long-term development work is ongoing. These take place in a variety of areas, and we look forward to your interest and engagement in the development of future psychiatry!

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare and who wish to become a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are required. Previous experience working with children and families, and preferably also in psychiatry, is an advantage.

As a person, you have excellent collaboration skills, a good demeanor, and an interest and commitment to developing care with the patient in focus. You naturally contribute to a continued good working atmosphere. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
