About the Position

A Swedish technology company at the forefront of battery technology is now seeking a Financial Controller who wants to step into a broad and independent role. You will be part of a company that is in an exciting phase. The technology is attracting global interest, major strategic players are already on board, and there is a lot happening within the company. This means you will have the opportunity to help shape the finance department while working closely with the business and management.

Your Future Responsibilities 

You will have overall responsibility for accounting and manage the entire financial flow, from accounts payable to year-end closing. The role requires a high degree of independence but also offers great opportunities for influence and development. Examples of tasks include:

• Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
• Management of accounts payable and receivable
• Reporting to management and external stakeholders
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Contact with auditors and external payroll partners
• Analysis of cost structures and cash flow
• Support in EU financing and grant reporting
• Improvement and development of internal routines and processes

We are looking for someone who has

• A university degree in finance
• At least 3–5 years of experience in qualified accounting work
• Good experience in closing processes and working with auditors
• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment

We consider it an advantage if you have

• Experience with Fortnox, Capego, and/or Xopen
• Previous work in a startup or scale-up environment
• Experience with EU financing or grant reporting

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, analytical, and have a solution-oriented approach. You communicate easily with different parts of the organization and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed.
