About us

We are now looking for a temporary treatment pedagogue for the period 251101-260831 at our HVB operation Alpha in Älvkarleby. The position is 100%. The target group is adult men with substance abuse issues and mental health problems. The client is the social services or adult psychiatry. The method is based on CBT and the working method is team-based. Collaboration with doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, and treatment pedagogues is part of the daily work. As a temporary treatment pedagogue, you will have assignments as a contact person where you take greater responsibility for certain clients. The role of the contact person includes communication with the client, therapeutic conversations, and documentation. In this position, you will also conduct group therapy with the support of the treatment manager of the operation who will assist you with materials and planning.

At the unit, work occurs during the day, evening, and weekends, as well as sleeping night shifts.

Your main tasks include:

• Care in the form of direct treatment work
• Participation in investigative work
• Network contacts
• Documentation and development work

We work with evidence-based methods, primarily focusing on clarifying pedagogy. 

The position is a permanent employment at XX%. Work takes place during daytime, evening, night, and weekends. Salary is according to agreement and other compensations are according to collective agreements. Start date is according to agreement.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is educated as a social pedagogue or equivalent and who has previous experience working with people in difficult life situations and is secure and balanced with the client’s well-being in focus. As a person, you are solution-focused, organized, and responsible. You have a positive outlook, are resilient to stress, and have good conditions to work in a sometimes tough psychosocial work environment. To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have an easy time building relationships, have good collaboration skills, and a very good ability to set boundaries in client work.

The work involves close and trusting collaboration with your colleagues, and you therefore have good communication and collaboration skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. A criminal record check will be required before employment.

• Social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or social worker
• Experience in treatment work
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Good system skills as documentation occurs to a high extent
• B driver's license for manual car
