About Nytida Kasper Kollo At Kasper Summer Camp, children, teenagers, and young adults with high-functioning autism, Asperger's syndrome, and/or mild intellectual disabilities come to have two fun summer weeks. Here, they get the chance to try new activities and meet friends in a safe environment.

In addition to summer camp, Kasper also offers activities year-round in the form of weekend camps. Our camp locations are in Skåne and Östergötland.

Kasper Summer Camp is part of Nytida, one of Sweden's leading actors in LSS, SoL, and education, focusing on support and services for people with disabilities and psychosocial issues.

As a leader at summer camp, you will be offered a varied and fun job. Our activities are always based on our participants' strengths, interests, and dreams, which means that activities and excursions vary from period to period.

About the role As a camp leader, you will work with 8-12 other camp leaders. You are responsible for planning and conducting activities as well as engaging and motivating our participants. You will also be responsible for care and support in areas such as hygiene, cleaning, and maintenance of local facilities together with the staff group, as well as social documentation.

It is of utmost importance that you collaborate and communicate with your colleagues to maintain routines, safety, and make camp as enjoyable as possible for our participants.

Working hours vary and include daytime, evening, and on-call shifts. Each period is approximately two weeks, and we would like you to work two periods during the summer.

The employment is in the form of a fixed-term contract.

Workplace As a leader at Kasper Summer Camp, you will live together with your colleagues at the camp location you work at. We have two locations in Skåne and one in Östergötland. The living situation can be described as simple but cozy, where you share a room with 2-3 other camp leaders.

The food served at summer camp is simple, but since a chef is present, allergies and dietary preferences are, of course, taken into account.

You are proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to take responsibility. The work may involve participants' interests, feelings, wishes, and needs requiring you as a leader to act quickly and initiate a completely new or different activity. Rapid changes and participants with expectations require you to be calm, attentive, flexible, and creative. You have a strong commitment to people and enjoy working in a team.

It is highly desirable that you have experience working with children and youth or with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and/or intellectual disabilities. We work with clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses, and prior experience in these areas is considered a significant advantage.

In your application, describe how your experiences can contribute to creating a great team and a fantastic summer camp. Remember that your hobbies can also contribute to a fun camp for our participants. Write about anything you are good at and would like to teach.

At camp, we drive to and from various excursions, so we prefer that you have a B driver's license and driving experience. If you state that you have a driver's license, you are expected to be able to drive the vehicles in the job.
