About Us

Alla Kvinnors Hus in Stockholm is Sweden's oldest and largest non-profit women's shelter. Our work includes protected housing, support and counseling, as well as spreading knowledge through information, education, and advocacy. Our vision is a society where no one is subjected to violence, threats, or sexual abuse in close relationships.

We are now looking for an Operations Manager who can lead our organization into the future with analytical sharpness, decisiveness, and stability.

Your Role as Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, you have a broad responsibility that encompasses both strategic and operational work. You drive the organization forward by combining visionary leadership with practical action while creating a safe and inspiring work environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting long-term goals and strategies for the organization.
  • Ensure that the daily operations run efficiently and with high quality.
  • Have overall budget and financial responsibility, including grant applications and reporting.
  • Be available and create conditions for staff to develop and feel supported in their work.
  • Collaborate with the management team/site managers to lead and plan the operations.
  • Drive organizational development and advocacy work that strengthens our purpose.
  • Communicate and build good relationships both internally and with external actors to create sustainable solutions and strong partnerships.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Education:
  • Degree in social work, law, police training, or other relevant higher education.
  • Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position with personnel responsibility during the last five years.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with violence in close relationships.
  • Experience in driving change and development work.
  • Personal Qualities:
  • Decisiveness: Ability to make independent decisions and easily move from words to action, creating clarity and progress in the organization.
  • Courage: Through your courageous and self-driven leadership, you create a safe environment where others also dare to be open, honest, and take initiative.
  • As a person, you can be described as a goal-oriented leader with strategic thinking, determination, and willpower that inspires others.
