Engineer in Logistics Analysis

Responsibilities

As an engineer in the Logistics Analysis group, you will support both the Armed Forces and FMV in conducting logistics analyses of technical systems and/or units in various types of operational scenarios. You will generate decision-making materials regarding operational reliability, life cycle costs, and logistics needs, as well as work on problem-solving by developing methods, models, and tools through programming and software development. In your role as an engineer, you will also develop and improve work methods and practices, and participate in spreading knowledge to others in the organization. Additionally, you may lead workgroups and consultants, assist in procurement processes, and provide materials for internal training and courses within FMV and the Armed Forces.

The position is based in Stockholm. Travel in the service occurs, both domestically and internationally.

We are looking for someone who

Has an academic education in a relevant field or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You have experience in programming and have previously worked on developing calculation and/or simulation models. Additionally, you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written. You are proficient in the Office suite.

It is an advantage if you have experience in conducting logistics analyses of technical systems and/or units. If you have experience analyzing large amounts of data and knowledge of statistical models, that is also an advantage. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of FMV's and total defense's working methods and processes. The same applies if you have experience in procurement in any way.

About us

The Methods and Analysis unit within the Logistics Operations area is responsible for developing and managing work methods, methods, and requirements within Logistics Analysis, Operational Reliability/LCC, Usability (HFI, Human Factors Integration), as well as Environment and Sustainability. Support and advice in application are provided to our own and other operational areas within FMV and to the Armed Forces through, among other things, the development of process descriptions and information platforms, competence networks, and forums. Furthermore, the unit is responsible for maintaining tools and spreading knowledge within each area through various means.
