About the role

As an IT technician, you will be part of an experienced team and be responsible for the operation, proactive maintenance, and troubleshooting of PTS's IT infrastructure. You will primarily work with our virtualization platform and backup system, which are based on components from VMware and Veeam. Furthermore, your tasks include the operation and maintenance of server environments focusing on Windows Server but also Linux environments. You will handle incident and case management and actively participate in the development and improvement of work processes. The work also involves providing support to the unit's other operations. We have a strong focus on security, and you will carry this mindset into everything you do.

The team consists of eleven dedicated employees who work closely together in an environment characterized by collaboration and innovation. We strive to always be at the forefront and create the best technical conditions for our operations.

About you

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work in teams and across boundaries, share experiences, and collaborate closely with others. You are solution-oriented, take initiative, and handle changes quickly and enthusiastically. A structured approach with clear planning and the ability to meet deadlines is central. You communicate clearly and engagingly, listen actively, and adapt to the target audience while explaining technology in an understandable way.

We are looking for someone who has:

Post-secondary education with a focus on IT or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
Recently worked in the operation and management of VMware and possess solid knowledge in the area.
Knowledge of backup systems and backup management.
Good knowledge of Windows Server 2019 or later.
Good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

It is also meritorious if you have:

Experience with Veeam.
Experience with Dell VxRail.
Experience with Linux/Red Hat.
Experience with server maintenance firmware.

Good to know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months. Placement in Stockholm with start as soon as possible by agreement. Your job title will be IT technician.

The position is placed in a security class. Therefore, a successful security clearance is required for employment in accordance with Chapter 3, Sections 1–3 of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
