About the role

At the Investment Projects department within the Traffic Administration, we are expanding and upgrading the infrastructure for Stockholm's public transport so that a million people can travel with SL traffic every day. We manage about 200 different projects across a wide range of technical areas in all types of transport. Each year, our projects generate five to six billion kronor. This job is for you who are attracted by the fantastic challenge and complexity of large infrastructure projects.

As a group manager, you will have full personnel responsibility for the employees in your group. You will lead the work and ensure that goals and results are achieved and act as the extended arm of the section manager.

The Planning and Support group is responsible for supporting the projects within the Local Train Tram section with several areas of expertise. Among other things, the group is responsible for the overall timeline for all projects within the Local Train Tram.

In the role of group manager, you will initially build up the group with the resources needed for the group to contribute to the operations in the best possible way and help further develop the function that each role represents. The group manager will also work within the internal interfaces that exist with other departments within the Traffic Administration to contribute the right expertise and staffing to the projects within the section. This task includes having an overall overview of investment plans and development plans within the Tram System.

Some examples of tasks:

Develop clear roles, responsibilities, and processes for the group's working methods and support employees in their self-leadership.
Set goals and follow up on results to create motivated employees.
Develop the group's competence and business acumen and, in close collaboration with the section manager and other group managers, ensure delivery capability and further development.
Lead and contribute to the work of business development within the department, section, and group.

You will be part of the section's management team and report to the section manager.

We are looking for you who are a relationship-building leader who involves, engages, and develops others. You are clear in your communication while being receptive. You are solution-oriented and structured, with the ability to work with both short and long time horizons.

Requirements:

At least three years of work experience in a project-based environment.
At least two years of documented managerial experience with economic, personnel, and planning responsibilities.
Good language skills in Swedish.

It is meritorious if you have:

A university degree.
Experience working as a project manager and/or training in project management.
