Sveriges Riksbank is looking for a new Head of Business Development and Methodology
The Riksbank is strengthening the IT and digitalization department (AID) and we are now looking for a new head of unit as the current head is retiring. We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a manager who wants a role where you work closely with the department head and other unit managers to shape the department's work while leading the development within the Business Development and Method unit.
The Riksbank is the hub of Sweden's financial system and our IT systems are the foundation for everything to function. The IT environment is extensive and varied, and the department collaborates with several suppliers and partners, both nationally and internationally. The IT operations are outsourced, allowing a strong focus on analysis, innovation, and working together with the business to continuously develop and manage the Riksbank's IT solutions. YOUR ROLE WITH US
The Riksbank's IT operations are led by the CIO, who is also the department head. In the role of unit manager for business development and methodology, you are responsible for driving and supporting business development and innovation at the Riksbank. The unit is responsible for the department's portfolio of initiatives, follow-up, and for coordinating the Riksbank's overall development portfolio.
The unit is also responsible for staffing major development initiatives with key roles such as project managers or scrum masters. The unit is responsible for innovation management with the aim of strengthening the Riksbank's ability to think innovatively, which includes leading/driving/participating in innovation activities and supporting innovative methods/work practices such as Design Thinking, and contributing to an innovation-oriented culture within the Riksbank.
You report to the department head and take responsibility in steering groups and forums together with the business representatives. Together with the department's management, you work on strategic, analytical, and operational issues.
The mission is to develop and implement IT governance that aligns with the organization's business goals and long-term visions. You are responsible for digitalization projects where new technology and innovations are introduced to improve business processes. You establish, manage, and further develop work methods, processes, and standards to ensure that business development takes place efficiently at the Riksbank. The Riksbank is taking the next step towards agile working methods in areas where applicable, and the unit plays a key role in this work.
In the role, you represent the department internally in Riksbank-wide projects and in national and international contexts. You are a strong driving force for the department to achieve its goals and for the Riksbank's strategic shifts to be achieved.
YOUR TEAM
The department is undergoing an organizational change at the turn of the year, going from four to six units. The Business Development and Method unit will consist of 9 employees as of January 1st. You work closely with your colleagues, our suppliers, and the department's managers in cross-functional teams with a focus on progress and results. Around 70 employees work in the entire department in its six units and a staff. MORE ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a manager responsible for personnel and finances in state administration. You have experience in business development, portfolio management, project management, agile and innovative work methods, as well as change management and communication. You are confident in the leadership role and have documented extensive work experience from the IT industry and IT strategic work focusing on change management, analysis, business and IT development, as well as resource and budget management. A very good analytical ability is important for the role. You are a coaching leader who creates conditions for the development of the unit and its employees.
You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
We are looking for someone who is curious and interested in development work and change management. You are goal- and result-oriented, proactive, and make bold decisions while taking great responsibility for the whole. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Start date: According to agreement
Employment type: Permanent employment, probationary employment may be applied
Location: Head office in Stockholm city
Working hours: Trust-based working hours
Possibility to work remotely: 2 days a week when work allows
