Work Environment Coordinator/Safety Coordinator
Hitachi Energy is a global leader in energy technology, and our operations in Piteå are in an exciting growth phase. Here, we develop and produce solutions that contribute to a more sustainable energy future. With strong local roots and global innovation behind us, we offer a workplace where you can make an impact – both in your daily work and in long-term development!
The Opportunity
Do you want to help create a safe, sustainable, and developing work environment? We are now looking for an engaged Work Environment Coordinator who wants to contribute to strengthening our work with health, safety, and work environment – both strategically and operationally.
The position primarily involves work environment tasks (about 80%), but also includes an additional responsibility as a safety coordinator (about 20%). This distribution applies as it stands today for the coming years, but the safety part may be removed – which means the role will then be entirely focused on the work environment.
As a safety coordinator, you will help coordinate and follow up on safety-related issues within the organization, in close collaboration with relevant functions.
Your Impact
- Identify and manage work environment risks, hazardous work tasks, and unsafe working conditions.
- Conduct accident investigations and collaborate with technicians, managers, and authorities to prevent future incidents.
- Educate and support the organization in work environment issues and safety routines.
- Conduct work environment audits and ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
- Analyze statistics related to work-related injuries, sick leave, and incidents to identify areas for improvement.
Your Background
- Relevant education and experience in work environment, health, and safety.
- Good understanding of work environment legislation.
- Experience with ISO 45001.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Strong collaboration skills and good communication style.
- Solution-oriented and analytical.
- Genuine commitment to creating a safe and sustainable workplace.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
What We Offer
- Collective agreement.
- Flexible working hours.
- Health and wellness compensation.
- Fantastic career opportunities within Hitachi Energy both in Sweden and globally.
- Various training and courses that support employee development.
- Diverse company with over 70+ nationalities working in Sweden.
- Supplementary compensation for parental leave.
- Employee portal with multiple discounts and benefits.
