About Hyddan's school

Hyddan's school is an adapted primary and secondary school located in a rural area just outside Jönköping. With us, you will find a fantastic team with strong community and high competence for our very exciting target group. The school currently has 11 students aged 7-21 years and a high staff density. The school is located close to nature, near services and public transport with good connections to Jönköping.

The students at Hyddan have diagnoses of intellectual disabilities (moderate/severe) combined with autism (level 3 or 2), which means that the students have extensive support needs in all aspects of the day. Most of the students also have a speech impairment and often exhibit challenging behaviors. These can include aggressive behaviors, hyperactivity, and self-harming behaviors. We operate on the premise that everyone has a personal pedagogical design.

Many of our students live within Nytida, which means we have a close collaboration with Nytida's children's and youth residences where everyone is focused on the individual. Several of our students have had a difficult school experience, and turning that experience into something positive is incredibly important and motivating for us. We focus on strengths, interests, and dreams so that each student feels a desire and motivation for learning.

Your experience and knowledge We assume that you who are applying to us: • have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people • are responsible and have personal maturity • enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues

You have at least a high school education in healthcare or childcare/youth and leisure or another education that is deemed equivalent. It is advantageous if you have experience working with the target group, students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities.

You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.
