Welcome to Öxnehaga School Area

Öxnehagaskolan is a F–6 school with approximately 360 students and five age-divided after-school care departments. The school is beautifully located on the heights of Huskvarna with a fantastic view over Lake Vättern.

With us, students from different languages, nationalities, and religions meet in an inclusive and safe environment. We actively work with a language-developing approach in all teaching and see diversity as a strength. Our ambition is for every student to become language-aware, tolerant, a good conflict resolver, and to achieve good results. Your New Job

As a teacher in after-school care, you will meet students both during school hours and after school. You support their development and learning in a holistic way where the after-school care's activities interact with the school's teaching. The position is divided between school and after-school care, which means that you will also teach during school hours based on your education and subject competence. You will work with students in grade 3. At Öxnehagaskolan, you will follow your student group from preschool class to grade 4.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the pedagogical work in after-school care.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate activities that relate to the curriculum goals and other governing documents for primary school.
  • Work with a holistic perspective on students' learning and development.
  • Create opportunities for students to learn in creative ways and apply knowledge in practice.
  • Contribute to making after-school care a meaningful complement to schooling.
  • Strengthen students' social skills, self-confidence, and belief in their own abilities.
  • Build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Promote a safe and stimulating learning environment that meets students' needs during their free time.

Your Competence

You are a qualified teacher with a teaching license for work in after-school care, or you are in the final stages of your education and waiting to receive your license.

You have a good understanding of the primary school's mission and governing documents.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in after-school care or school.

You have a good command of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

You have basic knowledge of IT and digital tools.
