The area of operation for Haninge Municipality's Disability Care is a development-oriented field focused on creating the best social services for the citizens of Haninge Municipality.

The unit's overarching goal is to create conditions for increased independence for the target group. The operations are conducted based on legislative requirements, political goals, and municipal guidelines. We in preventive and authority work with authority exercise according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). The unit handles cases concerning both children and adults.

The emphasis in the unit's work within authority exercise is on legally secure processing, uniform assessments, and follow-up of decisions and approved measures. The unit's mission and goals are to process applications from individuals, investigate the need for measures, make decisions, order measures, and follow up on the decisions and how the approved measures function. You need to feel secure in collaborating and participating in meetings with multiple participants where you are the convener.

The unit for preventive and authority work is now seeking two group leaders:

  • Group leader within the first line of support will be responsible for preventive work and the reception group.
  • Group leader within the second line of support will be responsible for systematic follow-ups to ensure the goals of the measures.

Your role will be a very important part of the continued work to develop methods around preventive work and authority exercise, together with a management group that is responsible, forward-looking, and characterized by an open collaborative climate.

Your mission

Your mission is to have primary responsibility for leading the daily work and supporting the caseworkers in matters concerning authority exercise according to LSS and SoL.

You will lead case discussions, have check-ins with each caseworker, and act as a support both to caseworkers and to the unit manager. Some of the tasks will consist of relieving the unit manager and may therefore vary over time.

If necessary, you will step in as acting unit manager. You will work with collaboration both internally and externally and represent us in various networks, which requires you to be clear, communicative, and provide all individuals you meet with a good reception.

What we are looking for in you

  • Degree in social work or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Theoretical knowledge of the legislation LSS and SoL.
  • At least three years of documented experience in authority exercise according to LSS and SoL.
  • It is important that you have good knowledge of what is happening in the disability area and what challenges it may generate in the future.
  • You should have at least three years of experience in processing cases within social services and be accustomed to driving your work independently.

As a person, you are self-driven, courageous, and results-oriented, with a strong ability to make decisions and take initiatives to ensure that the work flows smoothly. You have a holistic view of the work and can both structure and prioritize your tasks effectively while supporting others in their priorities. Your solution-oriented and empathetic approach ensures that you provide a good reception to everyone you meet, regardless of the situation. You are also good at inspiring and motivating employees, which gives you a good ability to collaborate both internally and externally. Furthermore, you are a stable person who can maintain calm in difficult situations.

Meritorious

  • Good experience of working according to the Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC).
  • Previous experience of preventive work within the framework of LSS and/or SoL.
  • Previous experience of leading caseworkers.
  • Experience in investigating the right to personal assistance.
  • Experience of working with individual-based systematic follow-up (ISU).
