About us

Welcome to Capio Geriatrik Löwet at Löwenströmska Hospital, beautifully located in Upplands Väsby. Capio Geriatrik Löwet provides care on behalf of Region Stockholm.

We consist of two acute geriatric care departments with a total of 58 geriatric care places and a cognitive outpatient clinic. In our departments, elderly patients are treated for infections, cardiovascular diseases, COPD, diabetes, strokes, and orthopedic issues. The rehabilitation team includes nursing assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, speech therapists, and nurses.

Your role

Standard tasks as a social worker in a geriatric care department.

• Provide guidance and information about social legislation, social insurance, and other resources in the community.
• Provide psychosocial and practical support to relatives.
• Provide support and opportunities for processing for patients and relatives.
• Conduct support conversations during the care period or provide advice on specific issues.

The social worker often collaborates in planning for the patient together with other professional categories. The main working tool is conversations based on the patients' needs. It includes calling patients at home after 24 hours for those with CFS, frailty 4-7.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience in healthcare or someone who wishes to try working as a social worker in healthcare. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and an introduction is included.
