Welcome to Economic Assistance

The area of economic assistance is divided into five units, including one reception unit and four investigation units.

The individual is at the center, and we work together but with different parts in the processing. Economic administrators work with the financial investigation, and social workers work with the social investigation, planning for the individual, and making decisions about economic assistance.

The Role of Social Worker

As a social worker with us in economic assistance, you have a dual mission; you work to help people address their financial problems and assess their right to assistance in the meantime. The work involves investigation and processing of economic assistance as well as social motivation and change work.

We in Järva district administration focus on the client and always try to create a good alliance with a focus on individual planning for each client. We have a varied client group that is at different stages of becoming self-sufficient, and it is your mission as a social worker to create a plan with the client that motivates and moves them forward in the process towards self-sufficiency. In addition to engaged leaders and colleagues, you also have partners such as the Employment Service and Job Center, addiction care, the Social Insurance Agency, LSS, healthcare, and psychiatry to assist you.

As a social worker in one of our investigation teams, you have a client base that you are responsible for. You have the opportunity to set up your own monthly schedule in a way that works for you to ensure that you can meet your clients regularly and follow up on their plans as well as process their applications in a timely manner and make legally secure assessments.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.

We consider experience in economic assistance work to be an advantage.

To thrive with us, you should be interested in working with people and treat others with respect. You are goal- and results-oriented, engaged, and structured. The client's progress towards self-sufficiency is important to you, as is making legally secure assessments. You show an interest in your work area and plan and organize your work effectively. You are humble about your mission with both the opportunities and limitations that delegation entails.

You are motivated to find solutions together with the client, and you are driven to be involved in change processes with both the client and partners. If you find it stimulating to find new paths to self-sufficiency for our clients and at the same time have a structured working method, we believe that the role of social worker may suit you.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. A probationary period may be applied.
