At God Assistans, we are looking for a dedicated and responsible personal assistant to support and facilitate daily life for Axel. Caring is the foundation of everything we do and is essential in providing the best possible personal assistance. We are currently seeking a passionate individual who wants to become a valuable part of our team.

As a personal assistant, you will work with Axel, a lively 12-year-old boy. He was born with a brain injury, which means he needs help with most things in life. He uses a wheelchair and communicates with image and writing programs on his iPad. He is an active boy, and if you have experience in training, that is a plus as exercise is a necessity for Axel in his daily life.

A work shift includes, among other things:

• Helping with most daily activities, including personal hygiene, interacting and communicating with his surroundings, and playing.
• It is important to be active; we have many active leisure activities, and Axel has a lot of movement training in his daily routine that needs to be performed.
• Assisting him with daily chores, such as getting dressed and undressed.
• Swimming ability is a must (comfortable enough to swim with Axel, even in deep water), and being able to skate is a plus.
• Ensuring he has dinner by warming food and assisting him at the dining table.
• Joining Axel in his activities such as horseback riding, swimming, and framerunning, or just playing games. He loves playing music (instruments).

As you can see, he is a very active boy, so it is important that you enjoy finding activities and can encourage him to engage in them.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is over 18 years old
• Speaks fluent Swedish and has good communication skills
• Is flexible
• Is smoke-free
• Is attentive to needs and feelings
• Experience with intellectual disabilities is a significant advantage but not a requirement.
• Can swim.
• Is a secure person with good self-esteem.
• Has a playful nature and wants to fill his time with both security and laughter.

Working hours
Weekdays (in school with Axel) 07-16, evenings 16-21
Weekends 09-21, every other weekend.
