We are looking for a preschool assistant for a fixed-term position in the S:t Göran preschool unit.

Your role

As a preschool assistant, you are an important part of the team and contribute together with your colleagues to ensure that everyday life at preschool runs smoothly and that care and daily pedagogical work are based on children's participation and choices.

This means, among other things, that you are active and participate in:

• The pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the preschool curriculum and operational goals.
• Planning the work.
• The daily contacts with guardians, where you are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented.

Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children.

Your qualifications and experience

You have:

• A high school education in child and youth care or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Worked as a preschool assistant for a few years and have experience in development work and documenting children's learning processes.
• Good digital competence.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with language development approaches, play, educational environments, and digital tools.

• Your ability to create good and trusting relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians.
• Your strong language skills and your way of communicating in a solution-focused manner.
• Your ability to independently and playfully lead a group of children.
• Your commitment to the role of preschool assistant and your familiarity with the guidelines, policies, and values that the preschool upholds.
