Recreation Leader at Fritid Järva

Fritid Järva is responsible for several youth centers, park play areas, and specialized services for children and young people with disabilities.
Our unit is a safe, creative, and stimulating environment where we work to create meaningful recreational activities and meeting places for children and young people. Our activities include, among others:
- Smultronet short-term supervision, a recreational activity in Akalla for young people with disabilities, from 12 years up to completed upper secondary education, according to LSS.
- Electric youth center, which is also run according to LSS, aimed at young people with specially adapted schooling, aged 13–24 years.

Your role
As a recreation leader, you will work within several of Fritid's activities to:
- Create and lead meaningful activities, workshops, and projects that engage young people.
- Collaborate with other recreation leaders in the unit to create an attractive and varied operation.
The work involves evenings and weekends according to a rolling schedule, as well as during school breaks.
Your role also includes a focus on follow-up and documentation of activities to ensure that we continuously improve our operations and meet the needs of young people.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone who is:
- Educated as a recreation leader or has other education deemed equivalent by the employer, preferably with a focus on working with children and young people with disabilities.
- Has experience working within LSS operations, preferably focusing on young people aged 12–24 years.
We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- Experience working with music, art, theater, or music production.
- Experience documenting in the Parasol system and knowledge of sign language communication.
- Experience driving collaboration with external parties, project work, and creating an operation with youth participation.
We see that you have the ability to create a safe, fun, and developing leisure for children and young people, and have a mature approach that helps you see things from their perspective. You are stress-resistant, communicative, and active in your daily work.
