Job Description
The Domestic Violence Center (RVC) Southwest works with authority exercises and with support and treatment for both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence in the neighborhoods of Skärholmen and Hägersten-Älvsjö. Based on evidence-based methods, RVC offers coordinated support for both victims and perpetrators. You perform assessments and risk evaluations regarding domestic violence and honor-related violence and oppression, and you investigate the need for interventions. Examples of interventions may include placing a family or individual in a protected accommodation in Stockholm or elsewhere, which may require some travel as part of the job. Another intervention may be support conversations conducted by our therapists within the unit.
A large part of the job involves collaboration. You collaborate both internally with other units within Stockholm City’s social services and externally with other organizations.
Investigations in the field of domestic violence are a current development issue, and the work includes following developments and being involved in driving progress within the organization.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the following competencies:
We are looking for someone who is self-assured, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective in situations that arise in daily work. You have the ability to empathize with others without taking over their feelings. We seek someone who can work with both victims and perpetrators.
You take independent responsibility for your tasks and structure your own work. The role involves handling multiple parallel processes, so it is crucial that you understand the complex nature of authority exercises with variations and tempo changes, and that you have a flexible working style and the ability to prioritize among your tasks.
