The school is currently a F-7 school with about 550 students and 80 staff.

The school has both newly renovated premises in the older beautiful heritage-listed building and completely newly built facilities for school and after-school care, sports, kitchen, and school restaurant. The school is beautifully located by Årstaviken and has good transport links near Gullmarsplan. Your role

We are now looking for an engaged social pedagogue for our school. Your role will be to drive the school's safety work together with students, staff, and any external actors such as the police and social services and be part of the school's student health team. You will also play a key role in the school's efforts to promote students' school attendance both at school and in lessons. Our social pedagogue needs to have well-developed communication skills, be a good listener, and be a clear and professional adult. Building relationships with students is a key ingredient in this assignment.

Your competence and experience

Social pedagogue education. You need to have knowledge of working with students with special educational needs as well as in-depth knowledge of youth identity, youth cultures, and youth conditions and behaviors in various and difficult life situations. We would like you to have experience in leadership within youth sports and experience working within and together with the student health team. You also need to have knowledge and skills in meeting and handling difficult conversations with youth and managing various forms of conflicts. We are looking for someone who wants and can build relationships with students, believes that every student can reach their full potential, and wants to work to promote their independence. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interactions with students and guardians, you are clear and uphold decisions made. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing. You have good collaboration skills and can create good relationships as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians.
