Welcome as a preschool assistant to us at Hornsberg Preschools! The unit consists of five preschools located in Hornsberg and its immediate surroundings.

We are currently looking for two preschool assistant colleagues for a fixed-term employment at Mariedal Preschool, one of whom will have the role of operational support. Mariedal Preschool has a bilingual department where children with hearing impairments, deafness, and fully hearing children are integrated together throughout the day.

As a preschool assistant with us, you play an important role and contribute to ensuring that everyday life at the preschool runs smoothly and that care and daily pedagogical work are based on children's participation and choices. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children.

As a preschool assistant, you will also work with:

• participating in pedagogical development work and pedagogical documentation according to the preschool's curriculum and operational goals
• being engaged and actively participating in planning and evaluating the work
• contributing at parent meetings and development discussions as well as in daily contacts with guardians
• being engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented

Your skills and experience

You should have a high school education in the nursing program, child and youth studies, or another education that is deemed equivalent by the employer.

We consider it a merit if you have knowledge of sign language as Mariedal Preschool also has a department that receives children entitled to sign language.

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible. Your child focus is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work and your team as well as towards the entire preschool. You collaborate in a professional and trustworthy manner with both guardians and colleagues and have a desire to understand situations from others' perspectives while contributing with clear communication. You have the curriculum's goals as a starting point in your work and always act with the children's best interests and rights in focus. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to focus on and prioritize the right things.
