Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Do you have experience and commitment in the child and youth authority area? We are looking for someone interested in the target group aged 0-9 years, who wants an important mission and to make a difference in the follow-up of granted measures according to SOL and LVU.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a creative unit with colleagues who contribute to dynamism and development!

Welcome to us and our workplace at Globen in southern Stockholm

The Enskede-Årsta-Vantör district administration is one of Stockholm's 11 districts. Our workplace is located at Globen, Slakthusområdet, in southern Stockholm. Today, the reception and investigation unit consists of two reception groups, four investigation groups, and one institutional group. The unit includes two mentors and three administrators who support the social workers. The unit has its own well-established open care and MST team.

We offer

We offer you a developing environment with engaged and development-oriented colleagues as well as experienced and present managers. Before you start with us, we have planned your introduction, and you will receive an introduction plan and a mentor in the unit. You will receive a wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year and access to a gym in the building. We have winter and summer working hours, flexible hours, and the possibility of vacation exchange.

Your role

As a social worker, you will be responsible for processing investigations and following up on granted measures according to SOL and LVU. We actively work with the child/young person's and family's network. In our assessment work, we have a holistic view with a child perspective in focus and a systems-theoretical approach. We use assessment instruments such as iRisk and EARL to assist us. A good and equitable approach towards those who come into contact with us is central to our work. The unit's goal is to maintain high quality and always work for the best interests of the children. We value the competence of our employees and ensure that everyone shares knowledge to continue developing in their assignments. Our ambition is to be a learning organization.

Your competence and experience

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Experience in authority exercise where good knowledge of social legislation is a prerequisite
  • Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish, which is important for communication with the child's and family's network, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues and external contacts.

Knowledge of and experience with iRisk, SAVRY, ADAD, and Signs of Safety is meritorious.

To thrive, we believe you are

  • an empathetic person
  • have good communication skills and an interest in helping people
  • able to converse and listen to people's needs
  • good at collaborating and making decisions that may sometimes feel difficult.

Your application

We recruit without a personal letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only consider your CV and a number of questions you will answer when applying for the position. We wish for you to respond concretely and concisely to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.

Before employment becomes relevant, an extract from the criminal record will be requested. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in the City of Stockholm. As part of the City of Stockholm, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and disabled, social services, preventive and safety-promoting work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 Stockholm residents living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.
