Responsibilities

In the role of engineer, you will participate in the technical system work to define the integration of the Swedish Armed Forces' command systems in various types of platforms such as vehicles, boats, containers, tents, and boxes/bags. You will make trade-offs between the specific wishes and requirements of different technical areas to optimize the various integration solutions. The role involves tasks such as formulating technical requirements during procurements, verifying requirements and system solutions; developing system specifications for system design and other specification work, for example, interfaces between different technical systems.

The tasks primarily involve office work but also practical work in workshops, meetings with industry, and representatives from the Armed Forces. You may also lead teams with consultants in your work.

In this role, you will closely collaborate with colleagues in Enköping, which means traveling there about once a week. The position is based in Stockholm, and there may also be international travel. There is an opportunity for remote work.

We are looking for someone who

Is a qualified civil or university engineer, technical officer, or has other relevant education or equivalent competence acquired in another way. To succeed in this role, you have a few years of relevant experience working in project form. It is an advantage if you have experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanical or electrical design, work in the automotive industry, or have worked with technical documentation. Since there is a lot of contact with the Armed Forces and industry, it is essential that you have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English. A driver's license (B) is desirable but not mandatory.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills. You are also self-driven, proactive, structured, and plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and clearly. Furthermore, we believe that you have the ability to create a holistic view and understanding of the bigger perspective in issues. About us

The area of responsibility for Command System Material is to develop, procure, and further develop materials and services within the command system area for the Armed Forces, such as mobile communication systems, the military's telecommunications network, and operational and tactical information systems. In the Mark C3 Integration unit, we are responsible for mobile command posts and for analyzing and integrating command components and command systems into all types of platforms of the Armed Forces with minimal impact on surrounding systems, such as vehicles, boats, containers, tents, and boxes/bags. The working method in the unit is characterized by close collaboration, a coaching leadership style, and continuous dialogue with your manager regarding both work and development opportunities. As a new employee, you will have an experienced mentor and a well-established onboarding program to help you integrate into the work effectively.
