Shift Leader Maintenance

We are now looking for an engaged shift leader for our unit within engine machining at Scania Industrial Maintenance (IM). We are looking for someone with a strong interest in coordinating and organizing resources to ensure quality maintenance.

As a shift leader with us, you will have a leadership role in production maintenance, and your primary responsibility is to lead and plan the operational part of the business by coordinating and prioritizing resources on the current shift. The work involves managing both preventive and corrective maintenance. In this role, you will work closely with our customer and focus on achieving our common productivity goals.

Your Responsibilities

As a shift leader in maintenance within engine machining, your overall mission is to actively plan, assign, and follow up on maintenance jobs and other tasks to achieve the overall goals of the business. In your daily work, you will prioritize resources based on the current situation. It is your responsibility to ensure the quality of the delivery and that the shift handover is conducted professionally. When the group manager is not present, you will lead weekly meetings and similar tasks in their place.

Safety is our highest priority, and together with your team, you will work for a good working environment where you are an active participant in improvement work. You will contribute to implementing the strategic plan and actively work towards achieving the department's operational goals, such as downtime and the number of incidents.

Examples of Further Tasks:

  • Train and maintain employee competence together with the group manager
  • Report accidents, incidents, and risk observations
  • Conduct larger coordination efforts

Your Profile

We are looking for a collaborative, structured, and stable shift leader. You have three to five years of experience in maintenance work, preferably experience as a maintenance planner. To succeed in this role, you have good communication skills and adapt to find win-win solutions. You enjoy working systematically with processes, which allows you to handle stress constructively. You take initiative and drive your tasks all the way to completion.

We also see that you have:

  • a technical education at the upper secondary level
  • a valid driver's license (B)
  • good knowledge of SPS methods
  • good knowledge of maintenance systems, preferably Maximo
  • good computer skills
