At Kango, we are now helping our client find their next team member. Our client is an innovative company at the forefront of developing the smart boat solutions of the future. To continue driving this development, they are now looking for a Systems Lead Engineer.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development of the company's boats and work in a small, fast-growing team of highly skilled individuals. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop alongside your colleagues.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design of electrical system architectures and ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements for the boat industry.
• Integration of off-the-shelf automotive components (e.g., motors, inverters, onboard chargers, DC-DC converters, power distribution units, etc.).
• Development of system documentation such as block diagrams, circuit boards, and interface specifications.
• Hands-on work with prototypes and system integration.
• Close collaboration with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and production of electrical systems.
• Evaluation and selection of components to enhance performance and reduce material costs.
• Collaboration with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Staying updated on the latest technologies and trends in the industry.

What we are looking for in you:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• A strong interest in technology, sustainability, and boats.
• More than 5 years of experience in system design and electrical engineering.
• Experience in maintaining close contact with suppliers of components and materials.
• Ability to conduct simulations and tests to verify and validate electrical system designs.

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience from the automotive industry and/or electric vehicle sector.
• Experience working with high-voltage systems.
