ILS Engineer

Your Role

As an ILS Engineer, you will be responsible for developing analyses to verify our systems from an ILS perspective, ensuring we meet our customer requirements, and calculating, for example, how many spare parts are needed to ensure the availability required. We work closely with many other engineers to create world-leading products in terms of life cycle costs. The work involves contacts both internally with product design and externally with customers and suppliers.

In your role, you will develop cost-effective maintenance concepts and make necessary trade-offs for our products. You will be responsible for requirements definition, follow-up, and analysis of operational data and maintenance costs, where you assess the customer's requirements and needs for operational reliability and Life Cycle Cost (LCC).

As an ILS Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build a good product knowledge, which is crucial for performing analyses such as Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA), LCC, and Life Support Cost (LSC). Through modeling and simulation, you will ensure requirements for availability, efficiency, and cost. You will focus on improving products and systems based on availability, reliability, system safety, cost, and customer needs throughout the entire life cycle.

Responsibilities may include:

• Overall responsibility for leading, planning, and executing ILS deliverables
• Developing reliability analyses and cost analyses.
• Development of methods, tools, and processes.
• Maintenance preparation and analyses around spare parts needs/optimization

You will collaborate with various technical competencies, project managers, product managers, and purchasers. Together with our marketing department, you will early in the business process ensure that we can offer and deliver profitable support solutions that meet customer needs. This is an opportunity to play an important role in improving and streamlining our processes, making a difference for both the company and our customers.

The position is initially located in Järfälla, but we will move to new premises in Solna Strand in the future. Travel may occur in the position.

To succeed in this role, you have good social skills and can communicate effectively, both independently and in collaboration with others. You are structured and have a strong analytical ability, allowing you to handle both the big picture and details effectively. You should have the ability to understand technical systems and an interest in technology, sustainability, and performing calculations and analyses.

Your Qualifications:

• Engineer or other relevant education
• Experience in the ILS and logistics analysis area
• Excellent Swedish and English in speech and writing

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
