The Upper Secondary School and Labor Market Administration is responsible for labor market initiatives, financial assistance, receiving newcomers and quota refugees, as well as upper secondary school, adult education, and summer internships.

Sjödalsgymnasiet has just moved into its new premises at Gymnasietorget in Huddinge for the academic year 24/25. We share facilities with Huddingegymnasiet, and in the long term, this will become a high school campus with one of the broadest program offerings in Greater Stockholm. Today, Sjödalsgymnasiet offers three vocational programs - Electrical and Energy Program, HVAC, and Sales and Service.

About the position

We are now looking for an economics teacher for Sjödalsgymnasiet for a fixed-term position during VT-25.

The position involves teaching business economics, leading the work with UF (Young Enterprise) in one class, and being a mentor for a half class (16 students). The school is organized into program teams that collaborate closely around the students. Mentorship is an important part of the role, and you are expected to act quickly when difficulties arise by contacting parents and the school's student health team.

You will primarily teach students in year 3 of the economics program but also in the social science program.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a teaching license and experience in teaching. You are a clear leader who easily establishes good relationships with young people, which we see as a prerequisite for successful teaching.

In your role as a teacher, you are driven, curious, and actively work to ensure that each student develops as far as possible based on their circumstances. You are structured and knowledgeable and have experience using ICT. At our school, we place great value on collegial exchange, so you should be someone who collaborates easily, is reliable, and sees the added value in developing our skills together.
