The organization is locally integrated into Bodals School, close to both forest and sea. It takes 5 minutes from Ropsten by Lidingöbanan or bus.

Currently, 42 students in grades 1-9 attend the school, including the associated after-school care and short-term supervision (KTT). We educate students to promote independence and create conditions for development and learning that prepare them for an independent life in the future. It is important to us that students succeed in school and develop based on their unique abilities. To provide the necessary support to our students, we maintain a high staff density. Together, we have extensive experience and a desire to create the best school for our students. It is essential for us that all students feel safe, joyful, and responsible. To ensure that the organization maintains high quality and is a learning organization, we view further education and professional development as a vital investment for our staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want an important and fun assignment? Come to us and create joy in learning for our students! Your role as a special education teacher involves providing individual instruction to students studying subject areas. The teaching is adapted based on the students' learning and individual needs, and we assume that each student needs ample time for their learning. You will work with clear pedagogical methods and adapt your teaching and pedagogical approaches according to the students' abilities. You should lay the foundation for the best possible development and aim for the student to achieve their goals. This means you will plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in a professional manner based on the school's governing documents. To support your teaching, you will collaborate with the teaching assistants in the class.

You will belong to a work team where we see you as an essential part of a whole that works to ensure all students reach their goals. You will actively participate in the school's development work and maintain good cooperation with colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed special education teacher with experience in adapted primary school. You have taught students following subject areas and have the competence to work with students with autism. You focus on the students and take responsibility for the entire assignment with great commitment, independence, and patience. Furthermore, you are structured and flexible and can adapt your approach based on the student's needs.

For the position, you need to be low-arousal and have a respectful demeanor, as well as the ability to build good relationships with both students and guardians. You also have a willingness and a well-developed ability to collaborate with colleagues in various contexts. You are solution-oriented and have the ability to identify and take the initiative to create opportunities for change and development.

The city applies individual salary setting. Start date during the spring term of 2025, or by agreement.
